Decision by the Senate for the 2022–2023 Spring Term's Final Exams
Our University's 2022-2023 Academic Year Spring Semester Senate Decision dated 12.04.2023 numbered 2023/09 regarding the conduct of final exams: By the decisions made by the Council of Higher Education on March 30, 2023, for the Spring Semester of the 2022–2023 Academic Year The eighth article of the statement made on the topic of "When and how the exams such as the end of the semester, single course, thesis monitoring, and proficiency exam will be held" were left to the authorized committees of the universities. Due to this statement of the Presidency of the Council of Higher Education and the decision being left to the Universities, it has been decided to apply the following criteria in the final exams:
End of the semester (final and make-up) exams will be held face-to-face (in class),
Additional examinations will be conducted face-to-face for students who have completed the maximum period of study.
Single course and grade increase exams for students at the graduation status will be conducted face-to-face.
For doctoral qualification, written and oral exams will be conducted face to face.
Presentations of the thesis proposal and progress reports (thesis monitoring) will be done either online or face-to-face.
Exams for master's and doctoral thesis defense will be conducted face-to-face,
Students who reside in the earthquake zone or have family members who live there and are unable to attend the end-of-term exams will be granted the privilege of a single make-up exam if they document their situation.
The English and Turkish Proficiency tests will be conducted face-to-face (in the classroom).
It has been determined to use the course evaluation criteria and weights as stated in the education training and examination regulations.
