2022-2023 Summer School



REQUIREMENTS AND CONDITIONS TO TAKE SUMMER SCHOOL COURSES

  • Course registrations for our university students will be made through OBIS. 
  • Students will first make their course selections through OBIS and afterward make their payments.
  • Course registration of students who do not make their payment until the end of the course registration period will be regarded as invalid.
  • In summer school, students can take the courses that he/she has never taken in the previous semesters, that he/she took but did not have the right to take the exam, that he/she took but failed, and that he/she wants to take to increase his/her GPA.
  • A student can take a maximum of four (4) courses during the summer semester, including the courses to be taken from another Higher Education Institution.
  • During the summer school students are not allowed to add, withdraw, or resign from courses unless they have a valid excuse (death, illness, injury, etc.) that is accepted by the related Executive Board. Students who do not attend the course after registering will be given a letter grade of FF in the system, regardless of the grade obtained in the previous semesters.
  • Upper-level courses are not available to students during summer school.
  • By the suggestions from the department/program, courses will be conducted online (synchronous or asynchronous).
  • Examinations will be conducted online through the LMS system.
  • After course registration, courses selected by less than 4 people will not be opened.

CONDITIONS FOR OUR UNIVERSITY STUDENTS WHO WISH TO ENROLL IN SUMMER COURSES OFFERED BY OTHER HIGHER EDUCATION INSTITUTIONS

The equivalent of the credit and content of the relevant course may be taken from another university, provided that it has been approved by the head of the department, its local credit does not fall below that of the relevant course, and with the decision of the Senate. If a course cannot be opened in summer school, it may be taken from another university, within the scope of the procedures and principles regarding summer school that have been established by the Senate.
 
STUDENTS OF OTHER HIGHER EDUCATION INSTITUTIONS WHO WISH TO ENROLL IN SUMMER COURSES OFFERED BY OUR UNIVERSITY

 Students who certify that they are students in other higher education institutions can take the courses opened in the summer education of the University. Selected course registration cannot be canceled; Students will apply to the Rectorate Building Directorate of Student Affairs between the registration dates with a Student Certificate and 1 Photograph.
 

STUDENTS OF OTHER HIGHER EDUCATION INSTITUTIONS WHO WISH TO ENROLL ONLINE IN SUMMER COURSES OFFERED BY OUR UNIVERSITY 

Documents are required for students who certify that they are students at other higher education institutions to submit their applications online.

3-For the courses you want to take during summer school, you have to fill out a petition. Click here to see the petition. (The code, name, etc, and credit of the course to be opened at our university must be included in the application form.)

After completing your documents, send them to bkosar@gelisim.edu.tr; you will be notified once your registration is open.


We will add your courses after you make your payment, and your student number will be sent to you via SMS once your registration is completed.
